El Show de las diosas

Les regalo un compacto del Fashion Show 2010 de Victoria's Secret que se realizó en Nueva York el 11 de noviembre pasado. No solo las modelos son fantásticas sino que todo lo que las rodea es espectacular, la música, los cantantes y bailarines, la escenografía, los colores. Todo un show.

Everybody Hurts

Excelente tema de la banda de rock norteamericana R.E.M. interpretado por el grupo irlandés The Corrs formado por cuatro hermanos, Andrea, Sharon, Carolyn y Jim, que practican una combinación entre la música tradicional irlandesa, el pop contemporáneo y el rock. Han vendido mas de 50 millones de discos y recibieron el titulo de miembros de la Orden del Imperio Británico. La banda inicio su carrera en 1991 pero alcanzó la fama internacional en 1995 cuando lanzó su primer album.

Mapa interactivo de la Tierra

No tenia idea de que el mapa interactivo de la Tierra generado por Google, con las mismas características que en la propia página Google Maps, pudiera ser posteado en páginas web o blogs, con la posibilidad también de verlo en forma de mapa político tradicional, mapa físico o mapa satelital, y una cuarta opción para verlo como globo terraqueo. Desde el punto de vista didáctico me parece una posibilidad genial.
Como recién me entero me quise sacar el gusto y lo agregué al blog. Se pueden entretener si quieren buscando sus casas, yo ya lo hice.

Sistema Solar

Gracias a la alta tecnología de las cámaras fotográficas digitales actuales instaladas tanto en la zondas lanzadas al espacio por la NASA como en los telescopios terrestres y espaciales, podemos apreciar hoy, y a diferencia de cuando yo era chico donde todo era pura imaginación, la verdadera imagen de los cuerpos celestes que nos rodean, en especial el sol y los nueve planetas del sistema solar que son nuestros vecinos más cercanos. Les agrego las fotos donde increiblemente se ve que en nada se parecen unos a otros, contrariamente a los que se podría pensar.

Encontré en youtube esta explicación de alto nivel científico que prueba la hipótesis de la deriva continental que fue desarrollada en 1912 por el alemán Alfred Wegener y que luego se reafirmó con la tectónica de placas en los años 60.

Bugatti Veyron

Prueba de velocidad del Bugatti EB16.4 Veyron 2005, considerado por muchos especialistas como el mejor auto del mundo por su potencia, velocidad, tracción y lujoso interior, también uno de los más caros ya que cuesta 1.300.000 euros. En la versión Super Sport alcanzó una velocidad de 431km/h. y fue el más veloz del mundo en el 2007, superado en la actualidad por el Ferrari FXX y el Maybach Exelero. El nombre viene de Pierre Veyron, piloto de Bugatti ganador de las 24 horas de Le Mans en 1939.
Este espectacular video lo agregué al blog en agosto del 2007 pero lo sacaron de youtube y ahora apareció de nuevo en HD y con subtítulos en castellano por lo que decidí agregarlo de nuevo.

Navidad Navegando

Entre el 21 y el 28 de diciembre me embarqué como 1er oficial en el buque tanque "Erria María", hicimos una navegación de Buenos Aires a Mar del Plata y regreso, por lo que pasé la Nochebuena y la Navidad navegando. Aqui les dejo algunas fotos.

La cuarta aventura del Capitán Jack Sparrow

El 20 de mayo de 2011 se estrena la cuarta parte de "Piratas del Caribe" con el título de "En Costas Extrañas" ("On Stranger Tides"). Les dejo algunas fotos de la película que también protagoniza Penelope Cruz y el trailer oficial mas uno con Johnny Depp.

Hoy nació Carlitos

Hoy hace más de 120 años nacía Carlos Gardel, el cantor de tangos más célebre de la historia y el que cada día canta mejor. Según algunos investigadores nació en Toulouse, Francia, el 11 de diciembre de 1890, y, según otros, nació en Tacuarembó, Uruguay, el 11 de diciembre de 1887. De lo que no hay dudas es de que vivió desde su infancia en Buenos Aires, ciudad que amaba y con la que se identificaba, como lo manifiesta en el tango que canta en este video.

La nieve llegó temprano

Todavia no comenzó el invierno, es más, a casi un mes de comenzar, en casi toda Europa y algunos lugares de Estados Unidos la nieve y el frio intenso ya hicieron desastres y se cobraron muchas victimas. Los meteorólogos dicen que va a ser un invierno muy frio. Si están recién en otoño y ya tienen este clima, no quiero pensar lo que les espera para enero y febrero.

Timescapes

El fotógrafo estadounidense Tom Lowe, especialista en fotografía astronómica, y que fue ganador este año de la competencia "Astronomy Photographer of the Year" (por la fotografía superior que se titula "blazing bristlecone") entre 3000 postulantes seleccionados por el Observatorio Astronómico Real, está empeñado en mostrarnos el mundo desde un punto de vista totalmente diferente. Para ello ha decidido crear su primera película, TimeScapes, que saldrá el año que viene y está siendo grabada usando técnicas de timelapse, o sea secuencias de video aceleradas, nunca vistas, capaces de dejar a cualquiera con la boca abierta. Les agrego un espectacular video con secuencias de la película llamado Rapture.
